Sandwiched between El Azteca and Koreana on Northland Avenue, Asian Thai Cuisine offers both Chinese and Thai cooking under the same roof. Their goal is to provide an unforgettable dining experience for all their patrons and their vast menu provides a variety of choices. Unfortunately, they are not allowing dine-in due to COVID-19 so you will need to order takeout or delivery.

Asian Thai cuisine has unique Thai dishes made with Thai basil and chili sauce and your choice of meat between chicken, pork, beef, or shrimp. Pad Thai and Pad See Yu noodles are also featured along with Coconut or Pineapple Fried Rice. For curry lovers, you can pick from four different types of curry made with coconut milk including Green, Yellow, Red Panang, and Mas Sa Man. Thai food is widely known to be spicy through the use of Thai chili peppers; however you are able to modify the spice level to your preference including no spice at all to extreme heat. Fresh Basil Rolls (Por-Pea Sod), Chicken Satay, and Fried Calamari (Pla-Muk-Tod) are offered as appetizers in addition to salad and soup. An interesting appetizer is the Larb Chicken with minced chicken, Thai herbs, habaneros, and lemon juice topped with ground peanut and served in a lettuce wrap.

Their Chinese menu has all of the delicious dishes you would expect such as General Tso’s Chicken, Moo Shu Pork, and Teriyaki Shrimp. The more popular entrees include the Amazing Chicken and the Triple Delight which has shrimp, chicken, and beef stir fried with mixed vegetables in a house brown sauce. You are also able to get classic appetizers like Crab Rangoons, Egg Rolls, or Fried Dumplings and even Chinese donuts for dessert.

Those of you with hearty appetites will be happy to know that portions are quite large so you will likely walk away with leftovers.

They offer lunch specials daily from open until 2:30 including the delightful Coconut Chicken, Pineapple Prawn, and Thai Seafood Eggplant which has a Chinese eggplant stuffed with shrimp, scallops, crab, and water chestnuts sautéed in a house garlic sauce. All lunch specials come with a spring roll and choice of steamed or brown rice.

A variety of gluten-free and vegetarian options are available for those with dietary restrictions and tofu can be chosen in place of meat.

Asian Thai Cuisine is open 7 days a week from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11:30 a.m. – 9 p.m. on Sundays. You can call or order online. Delivery is free with orders over $20. They have gift cards available for purchase as well as a catering menu for large groups.
