Good Food, Good Friends, Good Times

Jim and Linda’s Lakeview Supper Club has stood the test of time along the beautiful east shore of Lake Winnebago.

Looking back several years, a young Jim Koenigs and Linda Meyer purchased what was then Harry’s Lakeview in 1978. The restaurant was a mere cottage on the lake, and they first opened with just five items on the menu. Passion to serve good food and cocktails, as well as a love of people, helped Jim and Linda succeed. They have since remodeled and expanded the restaurant to have a seating capacity of 100. The recipes were developed by Linda, and the menu was expanded to offer a plethora of delicious choices. After 43 years of ownership, they have a community of people who have supported them all these years, and who come back time and time again.

Jim and Linda’s Lakeview Supper Club specializes in steak and seafood with appetizing cuts of meat and unique sea fare such as Alaskan king crab and South African lobster. They serve their excellent seafood menu every day of the week with some favorites such as the pesto-crusted salmon and parmesan baked haddock.

Their steak menu is robust with mouthwatering prime rib, ribeye, tenderloin, T-bone, and porterhouse steaks. These choices can be enhanced with toppers such as the classic sautéed mushrooms and onions, balsamic bleu cheese, or blackened with Cajun seasoning. If you want to mix it up a bit, go for a Steak U-pick combo, which includes a choice of sirloin, tenderloin, or prime rib along with shrimp, scallops, or frog legs. Yum!

Additionally, you can order slow-cooked ribs, bacon wrapped pork tenderloins, or chicken cordon bleu made with smoked ham and Wisconsin Swiss cheese. There are also plenty of sandwiches, burgers, and other entrées such as pastas and stir-fry. Or, if you are just hankering for a delicious cocktail and appetizer, there are several delectable choices.

The restaurant sits just 30 feet from the shores of Lake Winnebago in Pipe, Wis. with spectacular panoramic views of the lake from any seat inside the building or out on the patio. The location is perfect for any special occasion including business events and Christmas parties throughout the winter. It is easily accessible by snowmobile and is also a registration station during the sturgeon spearing season. They serve breakfast early every morning for those spending the day out on the lake. During the summer, they have an outdoor tiki bar with live music, and they are a popular spot for boaters from all around Lake Winnebago. The restaurant is right next to Calumet Harbor Marina and gorgeous Columbia County Park.

Jim and Linda’s Lakeview Supper Club is open six days a week from Tuesday through Sunday. They open at 4 p.m. during the week and at 3:30 p.m. Friday to Sunday. They  close at 10 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday and at 9 p.m. on Sundays. Starting Dec. 1, they also will offer breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sundays.
